Sarah Sunderland - Chair

I am passionate about personal development and growth, and supporting good outcomes for people has been a focus in my career. Having two teenagers and seeing the challenges that young people face in developing safely in line with their potential, I'm keen to get involved and bring my skills to an educational setting.

I'm a Chartered FCIPD and senior HR professional with deep experience in leading teams and driving strategic change across a range of sectors. Over the years, I've developed strengths in organisational development and delivering people-focused initiatives in both large and growing organisations. My previous governance experience includes working as a charity trustee at Fareshare Yorkshire for 9 years, including operating as Chair for 3 years.
